When it comes to our beloved animal companions most of us would agree that we wish them a happy and healthy life. If you have a furry or feathered friend who is in need of some healing, Reiki is one way of helping them.

      Reiki works in the same way, be it with humans, animals, plants or any other recipient. By calling in Reiki to enter the animal's body, the influx of high vibrational energy stimulates and accelerates the animal's own natural healing abilities. It works on removing blockages and realigning and strengthening their own natural flow of energy. Reiki cleanses the body of toxins and impurities and helps to alleviate or remove pain and other symptoms. Please see my Reiki page for more information on Reiki and how it works.

      Animals usually respond really well to Reiki. As the animal will be receiving Reiki at the request of a human companion rather than itself, it does have the free will to block the energy if for some reason it does not wish to receive the Reiki, however in the majority of cases animals will gladly receive the soothing healing energy and are very open to it.

      Sending distant Reiki treatments is ideal for working with animals as it will go straight to them without the need to get them to sit still next to a stranger holding their hands up towards them which would probably not help them relax and enjoy the Reiki. As mentioned in more detail on the Reiki page, Reiki received at a distance is just as effective as in person. All I would need to know is the animals name and either have a photo of it, or be given a few more specific details of it, to ensure the Reiki goes to the right animal.

 

* Please note that that you should always take your animal companion first to see a vet if they appear unwell in any way. Reiki can work very well along side conventional treatment from a qualified veterinarian. If you have any concerns about this please ask your vet.
